Ed Sheeran quietly uploaded a ton of old photos on a new Instagram account, TeddysOldPhone, starting back in March. The photos include him playing his first gig, hanging with Zach Braff and Kit Harington, an old photo of Harry Styles and more. While some of his die-hard fans noticed the new account, Sheeran officially revealed it to the world yesterday. He explained that all the photos he uploaded came from a phone he stopped using in 2015, but he turned it on again during the discovery process for a lawsuit related to his song “Thinking Out Loud” (which he won). The experience, which “felt like a time capsule,” led him to write his new song “Old Phone,” which is set to drop tomorrow.
