Britney Spears almost set herself on fire during a freak fireplace incident that took place inside her Los Angeles home earlier this year.

The "Toxic" hitmaker detailed the frightening experience in a since deleted Instagram post (per Page Six) on Monday (September 30), revealing that the fire "blew up in my face" when she attempted to heat her room (something her security has helped her with in the past).

"I was in my room, I turned the fire on, and all of the sudden, it blew up in my face...it literally blew into my face."

The fire brought Spears intense pain, and she initially thought that she would have to go to the emergency room for injuries obtained from the "really dangerous" incident.

"It took all my eyelashes off, my eyebrows and — see these baby bangs? These are from … it sizzled all my hair."

Spears explained that her face was "like, on fire," breaking news of the bizarre accident to fans using a British accent.

"It hurt to touch my phone. It hurt to put ice on my face. It hurt [to have] anything touch it. This happened for, like, six or seven hours. … The pain never went away. It was so, so, so bad...yeah, it was really bad."

The star "took three Tylenol" and managed to fall asleep despite the horrifying experience she'd just endured. To conclude, Spears assured fans and followers that she eventually healed and "all is good now."

This is not the "Circus" icon's first run in with fire. Page Six mentioned that Spears accidentally started a fire inside her home gym four years ago after leaving a few candles burning. The standout took to Instagram to detail the incident, unveiling that she was grateful as the fire could've been "much worse."

"I walked past the door to the gym and flames, BOOM !!!!!!. By the Grace of God the alarm went off after that and yippy hoorah nobody got hurt. Unfortunately, now I have only two pieces of equipment left lol and a one-sided mirror gym!!!!"
