As rumors continue to swirl about the status of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's marriage, his ex-wife Jennifer Garner has reportedly reacted to the situation.
A source told People this week that the Alias star "wants the best for" for her Affleck, whom she married in 2009 and split from in 2015, finalizing their divorce in 2018. The exes welcomed three children together during their relationship: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
"She wants him happy and healthy so he can be the best dad possible," the source said, adding that Garner "likes that [Lopez] lives a healthy lifestyle and supports Ben's sobriety. Jen wants that for Ben."
Speculation regarding Lopez and Affleck's marriage has been running rampant over the last several weeks, leading many to believe the couple, who tied the knot in 2022 after rekindling their relationship the year prior, are heading toward a divorce. The pair have reportedly been living separately amid "tension" in their marriage, though one source claimed they are "not over yet."
Affleck has been photographed recently without his wedding ring and attending events without his wife, including when he attended his daughter Violet's graduation party solo over Memorial Day weekend. He was, however, seen with his wedding band when arriving, according to photos obtained by Page Six.
Rumors of the alleged split were also stoked when Lopez reacted to a cryptic Instagram post regarding unhealthy relationships. While neither Lopez nor Affleck have publicly commented on the state of their relationship, the "On the Floor" singer has sidestepped questions, notably shutting down a reporter's query during an event promoting her new film Atlas.
