A ram attacked a woman in South Sudan recently; when it charged into her ribs, police say she died immediately…so they arrested the sheep.
At the local jail, the sheep was found guilty of murder and sentenced to three years in a military camp.
Police Chief Elijah Mabor said, “The owner is innocent and the ram is the one who perpetrated the crime so it deserves to be arrested.”
The ram’s owner didn’t get off free and clear; they were ordered to pay the victim’s family five cows as compensation.
