We might not have all the details here. But based on what we do know, was this an overreaction?
Two kids near Fort Myers, Florida were walking out of an ice cream shop on Saturday, when two other kids ran up and sprayed them with SILLY STRING.
And the two kids who did it ended up getting ARRESTED for battery.
It sounds like they're teenagers and might all know each other. It doesn't sound like a fight ensued or anything. It was just a prank.
The two kids who got sprayed told some cops about it. Then the cops called their parents . . . and the PARENTS were the ones who decided to press charges.
A local reporter asked people on the street about it, and most thought it was an overreaction.
One woman said it's just kids being kids, which should still be allowed. Or at the very least, it shouldn't go on their permanent record and affect their future.
