The Late Great John Madden’s “Poop” Rule (???)

In addition to the world mourning the passing of Betty White, stories continue to pour in after the loss of NFL great John Madden.

It was common knowledge that Madden couldn’t stand to fly, which is why he took that bus to every game he broadcasted during his career.

On that bus, there was a standing rule that was non-negotiable…no one was allowed to hit a number 2 in the bathroom.

According to former NFL player and executive Matt Millen, only three people ever dared break Madden’s “poop rule.” They were: Millen himself, Fox producer Richie Zyontz, and hockey legend Wayne Gretzky. Millen says that, for some reason, Gretzky always “got a pass,” but he and Zyontz always “bore the brunt” of Madden’s ire, with Madden telling Millen that he resented “having to carry that turd around the rest of the country” on that bus.
