In this ever-changing world, there's one thing you can count on. Old guys will always think young guys are punks . . .

A 63-year-old in California named Mark Shell was sleeping in his pick-up on the side of the road this month, when two teenagers drove by and threw water balloons at his truck.  (It happened in Ridgecrest, California, about 150 miles north of L.A.)

It woke him up, and he got out to check for damage . . . then realized they were turning around to make another pass.

So, he grabbed a 12-gauge SHOTGUN from his truck . . . and fired it into their driver's side door.

Thankfully, they weren't seriously hurt. The kid who was driving had "minor injuries," but that was it.

Mark drove off, but cops tracked him down a few hours later. It turns out he's a convicted felon who's not allowed to have guns.

He's facing charges for that. But the more serious charges are for shooting at an occupied vehicle, assault with a firearm, and attempted murder.
