CIRCLEVILLE – A serious accident on Route 17 near exit 119 shut down traffic in both directions Wednesday evening. There were two fatalities and several other people seriously injured, State Police said.
A passerby shot video that showed a number of people laying on the grassy median between the east and westbound lanes.
Several ambulances are on the scene along with police, and medivac helicopters were brought in to fly the seriously injured to trauma centers.
