Millionaire Admits to Botched Kidnapping of Wife After the Henchmen Drown

A Louisiana millionaire has admitted that he planned the kidnapping of his estranged wife after the two men he hired to do it drowned while trying to get away from authorities.

Lawrence Michael Handley pleaded guilty last Monday to two counts of second-degree kidnapping of Schanda Handley and her then-14-year-old daughter in 2017, along with a count of second-degree kidnapping of his neighbor who was in the house when the two hired men, Sylvester Bracey and Arsenio Haynes, broke into Schanda’s home.

The men drowned when they jumped from a van into a canal after the police had blocked them in on a dead-end road.

Handley made his fortune in the tech industry, as well as by selling vitamins and supplements.Maybe he can do some deals from the inside the big house.
