Sounding like a scene from the 80s movie “Die Hard”, the twist in this story is so weird, even firefighters were confused when they showed up . . .
On Monday night, three guys in their 20s were brawling in the hallway of an apartment building near Philadelphia. And they were on the eighth floor.
That's an important detail because while they were fighting, they somehow broke through a set of closed elevator doors . . . and all three of them fell down the ELEVATOR SHAFT.
They landed on the elevator, which was on the first floor. And somehow, all three of them survived.
Two broke through the ceiling of the elevator and ended up inside it. And the third guy landed on top of it.
When firefighters got there, they thought the whole elevator had fallen. And that's also what the news reported at first. Details about the fight didn't come out until later.
One guy ended up with a broken leg, and one of them was flown to a hospital by helicopter. It's not clear if it was the same person though, or if one of them was more seriously injured. (It's also not clear who won the fight.)
