Molinaro delivers message of hope in annual state of county address

POUGHKEEPSIE – Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro’s annual state of the county address, this year delivered virtually from his office in Poughkeepsie on Tuesday, spoke of unity, love and hope as the COVID-19 pandemic reaches the one-year mark.
In his 15-minute message. He traced the tremendous impacts the virus has had on loss of life, employment, housing and the basic necessities of life.
Molinaro also traced the good that the county, organizations, and volunteers have done, and continue to do, to help people during these troubled times.
The county executive said, though, that the county and nation will come back stronger than before.
I have said in the past, and believe now more than ever, our future rests upon our ability to solve problems, seek refuge on common ground, think big to build and dream – together,” he said.
The new way of life is already emerging with the vaccines and new jobs being created, he said.
