It's hard to imagine someone could be THIS bad at being a burglar. Like, I've never done it but I KNOW I wouldn't make these types of dopey errors.
A 30-year-old guy named James Tanner from Alpena, Michigan broke into a house back on Halloween.
He used his own DEBIT CARD to force open the lock . . . and then, he accidentally left it behind. And yes, it had his name right there on it, so the cops could use it to identify him.
I'm not sure what took so long, but a warrant for him was finally issued earlier this month. The cops tracked him down . . . already in jail on some unrelated charges.
He's been charged with second-degree home invasion.
