MID-HUDSON – Mother Nature dumped as much as two feet of snow on the region Monday into Tuesday morning.
New York was in a state of emergency on Monday meaning only essential services were allowed on roads.
Metro-North Railroad service, which was halted Monday afternoon, was to resume at 4 a.m. on Tuesday on the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven lined.
Snow continued to fall overnight with additional accumulation of three to seven inches.

Tuesday
Snow. High near 31. Wind chill values between 15 and 20. North wind 11 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
Tuesday Night
A 40 percent chance of light snow, mainly before midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 23. Wind chill values between 15 and 20. North wind 7 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Wednesday
Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. Wind chill values between 15 and 20. Northwest wind 9 to 14 mph.
