Ulster legislator named executive director of LGBTQ+ Center

KINGSTON – Ulster County Legislator Peter Criswell has been named the new executive director of the Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ Center headquartered in Kingston.

Criswell, who represents a portion of the City of Kingston on the legislature, said his appointment is “an incredible opportunity to combine my passion and personal commitment for community service and blend it with my professional business experience.”

A statement from the board said Criswell “will undoubtedly be a great leader and asset to our community. His tremendous energy, strong community relationships and his talent to meet the changing landscape will add to his success.”

Criswell takes over from Executive Director Jeff Rindler-Jordan, who is leaving for personal family reasons. The board said he “created a significant legacy of achievements during his time.”
