Getting pulled over by the cops is something you hope doesn’t happen, except next week in one town down in Virginia.
The Chesapeake Police Department will be giving away turkeys instead of tickets to drivers as a holiday act of kindness a week from tomorrow - Friday, December 11th.
The police are teaming up with several local groups for the festive giveaway. But just because drivers may be let off the hook, it’s not a pass to drive recklessly. Police say the free birds won’t go to everyone, it will depend on the conditions of the traffic stop as well as the driver’s attitude.
