A Waitress In Texas Gets A $2,000 Tip ...And The Restaurant KEEPS It

Tis the season to give unless you work at a restaurant in Texas that won't pay out large tips.

Emily Bauer learned that the hard way as she just took a job at the Red Hook Seafood and Bar in San Antonio, Texas two weeks ago.

She was blown away when a customer left her a $2,000 tip on a bill. She really thought it was going to be a miracle Christmas for her young kids at home this year. That is until she found out from the restaurant that she won’t take home a single cent.

The restaurant told her it can’t process a tip larger than $500. Other servers suggested that the restaurant give her four separate tips of $500, but they refused. It is unclear why the restaurant couldn’t process $500 of the $2,000 tip to give to Bauer, in line with its limits. Bauer said the customer received word that she won’t get the tip and called the restaurant to express his disappointment, and still, nothing has been done.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everybody!
