A Group of Moms Set A Record For Walking BAREFOOT Across Legos

As a dad of 10 year old and 3 year old boys, there is no pain quite like stepping on a stray Lego brick when you’re barefoot, but a group of moms got together and did it on purpose.

Katie Wells and four of her friends weren’t just gluttons for punishment, they actually set a new record for walking across Lego bricks.

Technically, the Guinness World record is for “the farthest distance traveled by walking barefoot on LEGO bricks by a relay team in one hour” and just hearing about it sounds painful!

Wells says her family motto is “We do hard things,” so it makes sense she was behind this. She came up with the idea because one of her goals for 2020 was to set a world record of some kind. She enlisted the help of other moms because if you’ve got kids, you’ve no doubt stepped on a Lego, so these ladies knew what they were getting into.

It wasn’t easy, but they did it - on 200-pounds of Legos, at 12 seconds per lap with each mom walking about 12 minutes to cover at least 20 laps, as set by the official world record guideline. There was even a bit of blood shed from their feet and their soles were sore afterwards, but they got in the required 328 laps to break the record. To celebrate their victory? The moms got their feet iced by their proud family members. Well alright.
