Sometimes it’s good to give in to your cravings, just ask Marquetton Carraway. The North Carolina man says his love of mac and cheese is what got him a winning lottery ticket.
He tells lottery officials that he stopped by the store to pick up the ingredients for the dish and decided to grab a scratcher while he was there.
Little did he know, his $5 Mega Bucks scratch off ticket was a big winner. When he got around to scratching it off, he was thrilled to see it won him the $200-thousand jackpot prize! And it almost didn’t even happen.
Carraway says, “When I got to the counter, the man gave me my change and I was about to walk out of the store until something told me to, you know, buy a ticket.” So trusting his gut that day really paid off!
