ANCRAMDALE – Town of Ancram Judge George Wittlinger and his son Daniel are being sued in Columbia County Supreme Court under the New York Child Victims Act. The lawsuit alleging sexual abuse was filed Monday by an 18-year-old woman who has chosen to remain anonymous.
The court documents say that the teen victim and the younger Wittlinger began a teen romance in the summer of 2017. Shortly after the relationship began, the judge moved the then 15-year-old plaintiff and her 9-year-old sister, into the Wittlinger’s Ancramdale residence.
The plaintiff alleges that shortly after moving in, Judge Wittlinger began encouraging her to have sex with his teenage son. In September of 2017, according to the plaintiff, the teens had intercourse for the first time, at which point the judge walked in on them.
Additionally, the plaintiff says that the judge would drive her to and from high school and offer gifts and money in exchange for sexual favors for both him and his son. The victim says that the elder Wittlinger offered her “Twisted Tea and hard lemonade,” both of which are alcoholic beverages.
The plaintiff says that Judge Wittlinger coerced and demanded that the plaintiff perform oral sex on him. Court documents quote the plaintiff as saying “The oral sex caused extreme physical and emotional discomfort for the plaintiff who continues until the day of this pleading to suffer from anxiety as a result of these acts of forced fellatio upon his uncircumcised penis.”
A call to Judge Wittlinger seeking comment about the allegations was not returned prior to the time of publication. Wittlinger has served as Ancram Town Justice for 20 years.
