Guy Pranks With "Will You Marry Me?" Cake Sent to Bud's Table on a 1st Date

I’ve done the old “we have a birthday boy with us tonight” prank a few times to my brother-in-law when the four of us when out to eat pre-kids which of course had the wait staff singing with a cupcake and candle and my brother-in-law with daggers in his eyes toward me… but I gotta say, this is a pretty good prank too right here. A little costly for the wallet though.

There's a 24-year-old guy named Lee in Glasgow, Scotland, and he knew his 38-year-old friend Stephen was going on a first date to a steak restaurant.

So Lee called the restaurant pretending to be Stephen before the date to set up a special dessert surprise. He had the server bring over a cake at the end of the meal that had, "Will you marry me?" written on the plate in icing.

Lee caught the whole thing on video(Warning: There's censored profanity.), and he wound up paying for the meal . . . so he dropped around $180 on the prank. But he says it was worth it.

And if you're wondering, Stephen's date did NOT seem to be impressed by the prank, so Lee may have tanked any potential relationship.
