KINGSTON – Ten new cases of COVID-19 have been reported Thursday out of a total 757 tested and one of those is a frontline food worker in the Kingston City School District.
Ulster County Executive Patrick Ryan said there is a 75 percent chance that those 10 new cases are false positives and are being re-tested.
But, out of an abundance of caution, the food service in the district has been suspended.
“Unfortunately, that not only affects these individuals but in this case, also has a ripple effect that it will be a challenge to get food out to several hundred families now because of this,” he said.
Ryan did say that the school district has a contingency plan to get food out to impacted families.
