Salon Removes Job Requirement "Happy" As It Discriminates Unhappy People

Are people's MOODS really a protected class?

A hair salon in Stroud, England recently put up an ad for a new stylist, and one of the lines said, quote, "This is a busy, friendly, small salon, so only happy, friendly stylists need apply."

But the owner got a call last week from a local job center saying she needed to change the ad.

Why? She says the job center told her, quote, "The word 'happy' is a discriminatory word and we aren't allowed to use it, as somebody who is not happy will be discriminated against." (???)
