DENIZEN Theatre Presents

A World Premiere

by Neil LaBute

TRUE LOVE WILL FIND YOU IN THE END

NEW PALTZ, NYSeptember 7th, 2020 -- DENIZEN Theatre will be reopening their doors for Tony-nominated Broadway playwright, Neil LaBute, this October. The world premiere TRUE LOVE WILL FIND YOU IN THE END is about marriage and divorce; passion and obsession; and how love can find you in even the most extraordinary circumstances.

In an extremely intimate setting – only 8 seats per performance – this timely theatre production places the audience safely on opposing sides of a socially-distant square. This theatrical experience transports patrons into the world of the play through a layered composition of sound, light and narrative as we experience two sides of the same story.

The audience is the observer and the observed.

After a 6-month hiatus, The DENIZEN Theatre is proud to have created a safe way to employ local artists and to give patrons the opportunity to experience professional theatre in the Hudson Valley. Founder & Producing Artistic Director, Harry Lipstein, states: “Sometimes the most creative solutions are born out of the most atypical restrictions.”

TRUE LOVE WILL FIND YOU IN THE END is directed by J.J. Kandel. The design team includes Greg MacPherson (lighting design) and Nick Moore (sound design/composer). The Founder & Producing Artistic Director of the DENIZEN Theatre is Harry Lipstein. The Producer is Sarah Cronk.

Neil LaBute is a critically acclaimed playwright and filmmaker. Select credits for playwriting and directing include: THE SHAPE OF THINGS (featuring Paul Rudd and Rachel Weisz) REASONS TO BE PRETTY (3 Tony nominations), IN THE COMPANY OF MEN (New York Critics Circle Award for Best First Feature, Filmmakers’ Trophy at the Sundance Film Festival) and NURSE BETTY (starring Renee Renée Zellweger and Morgan Freeman).
