Press Release:
The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce and its Legislative Action Committee are devoted to advocating for businesses as well as providing public access to our elected officials and those running for civic office. Starting this week, we will offer a series of complimentary forums where candidates running for State and Federal office will go head-to-head to address business and economic related questions in an accessible and transparent format. This is an opportunity for our community to hear candidate viewpoints on important issues to ensure informed constituent decisions can be made at the polls.
This Wednesday, August 19th, we will feature a forum with incumbent Senator Peter Harckham and challenger Rob Astorino for the 40th State Senate District. You can register for the event HERE.
You may participate by having your questions asked and answered in a non–partisan setting. Questions for the candidates will be accepted in advance and should be emailed to richk@dcrcoc.org. Questions will be reviewed by the Chamber’s Legislative Action Committee.
