Local Kingston man arrested following lengthy drug investigation

KINGSTON – A 21-year-old Kingston man has been remanded to the Ulster County Jail following his arrest in connection with illegal drug sales in the City of Kingston.

The Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team stopped Tristan Hines as he was driving on Cedar Street in Kingston at around 5:45 p.m. on Monday, July 27.

He was found in possession of over a quarter kilogram of MDMA.

Investigators then executed a search warrant at a residence on Oak Street in Kingston and seized over 50 grams of cocaine, over 150 grams of pharmaceutical tablets, 1.5 pounds of marijuana, over 200 milligrams of LSD, digital scales, drug packaging materials and over $2,000 in cash.

Hines was charged with six counts of drug possession and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

URGENT was assisted by US Customers and Border Protection and the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office K-9 team.
