According to the Poughkeepsie Journal, Roy C. Ketcham High School maybe changing their mascot and sport name after Native American organization talked to the school board.
This comes after Native American organization expressed to the school board the changing of the sports mascot. Once the board expressed its willingness it seems changed will happen for Roy.C Ketcham and their athletic department. They are still working out the details.
Once thing in questions, and what worries some of the school board is the cost to rebrandOne worry of the school board is the cost to re brand the school and the athletic department. The cost would included new uniforms, signs, and new logo, that was redone in recent years.
