Two “targeted” teens shot in Kingston

KINGSTON – Two teenage boys were shot Wednesday night while they were outside an apartment in the City of Kingston.
Police said that minutes before 10 p.m., the boys ages 15 and 17 were each shot in a leg while they were outside at Birchwood Village.
Both victims were reported in stable condition at the Health Alliance emergency room where they had been transported.
While the investigation is in its early stages, police said it appears the individuals may have been targeted.
Kingston City Police are being assisted in the investigation by State Police, Ulster County Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s Office, New York City DEP Police and Town of Ulster Police.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the person or persons responsible for the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 845-331-1671. Anonymous tips may be called in at 845-331-4499.
