NEWBURGH – A 29-year-old City of Newburgh man is dead, the latest victim of violence in the city.
Felipe Hernandez was found on the sidewalk near the entrance to the Delano-Hitch Recreation pool at 401 Washington Street at around 1:50 p.m. He was transported by Mobile Life Support Services ambulance to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police radio reports indicate they were looking for a tall black man who fled on a bicycle.
The incident is under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Newburgh City Police at 845-561-3131.

In a separate incident, a woman was stabbed in the area of 299 Liberty Street during the evening hours. A suspect fled the scene and police are investigating that crime as well.
