TOWN OF WALLKILL – An employee of Syndicate Tax Company in Middletown was held up early Wednesday as he sat in his cab in the area of 1 Kensington Manor, Wallkill Town Police said.
The incident occurred at 12:05 a.m. when two black men, both under 20 years of age and wearing dark-colored clothes, approached the cabbie as he sat in his vehicle.
They pulled a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded the victim’s cell phone and cash.
Before the robbers took off, the victim was struck in the face with the gun, suffering some pain and swelling.
The investigation into the incident is being conducted by the Town of Wallkill detectives.
