NEWBURGH – A top leader in the Hudson Valley manufacturing sector believes the economy will bounce back over time.
Harold King, who is executive vice president of the Council of Industry, said it will be a slow process, but we will get back to where we should be.
“There is this lack of consumer spending and lack of spending in general for the last two months what will certainly eventually impact manufacturing and as you know, manufacturing drives a lot of the economy and is a good indicator of where things will go,” he said. “I do think we will get back. I think we are talking into 2021 for sure.”
Manufacturing is one of the business categories now allowed to resume operations in the phase one reopening of the economy of the Hudson Valley.
