GOSHEN – “Madison,” a nine-year-old Clydesdale mare, owned by State Trooper Mary Elena Moran, was a big hit at the Orange County Valley View nursing home in Goshen on Tuesday as the pair stopped b to say hello to the residents.
It was the first time in months that residents had an opportunity to venture outside and enjoy the particularly beautiful summer weather, said facility Director Laurence LaDue.
Madison, who is considered the State Police Mounted Patrol, is a big draw wherever she goes because of her beauty, stature and long hair.
Her visit to Valley View was arranged by Assistant Director of Nursing Beth Purta and Director of Activities Mark Labruna.
