City of Kingston
• DWAI-drugs:Sam D. Sperling, 42, of Accord, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at the intersection of Clinton Avenue and Pearl Street and was charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving while ability impaired by drugs and driving while ability impaired by a combination of drugs and alcohol, all misdemeanors. Sperling was released with tickets for Kingston City Court.
Cairo
• DWAI-drugs:Louise B. Rivera, 54, of Cairo, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 3:40 p.m. Thursday, May 14, on county Route 23B and was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor. Rivera was released with a ticket for Cairo Town Court.
Cairo
• DWAI-drugs:Louise B. Rivera, 54, of Cairo, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 3:40 p.m. Thursday, May 14, on county Route 23B and was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor. Rivera was released with a ticket for Cairo Town Court.
Catskill
• Drugs:Ashawn C. Abbott, 44, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Catskill and Catskill police on Thursday, May 14, and was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, all felonies, and with misdemeanor charges of criminal use of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. Abbott’s arrest followed the execution of a search warrant at a village residence during which about 70 grams of cocaine, 4 grams of Oxycodone and more than $1,500 were seized. He was sent to the Albany County Jail pending a court appearance. Further information was unavailable.
Coxsackie
• DWI:Catelynn L. Cline, 20, of Cairo, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 10:43 p.m. Thursday, May 14, on U.S. Route 9W in the town and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level at or exceeding 0.08, both misdemeanors. Cline was released with tickets for Coxsackie Town Court.
Hyde Park
• Weapon:John-Robert M. Messick, 22, of Hyde Park, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 11:59 p.m. Thursday, May 14, on U.S. Route 9 and was charged with misdemeanor possession of a weapon (firearm). Messick was released with a ticket for Hyde Park Town Court.
Town of Kingston
• DWI:Kenneth J. Manzoli, 34, of Lake Katrine, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 8:27 p.m. Thursday, May 14, on Sawkill Road in the town and was charged with misdemeanor drunken driving. Manzoli was released with a ticket for Kingston Town Court.
Wawarsing
• Burglary:Tyler J. Albert, 25, of Napanoch, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14, on U.S. Route 209 and was charged with burglary of a dwelling, a felony. Albert was released with a ticket for Wawarsing Town Court.
