Throwback Thursday - A Glib Joe Daily on Graduation Day 1975

This time of year always brings graduation memories. Above is a picture taken on the day I graduated from college in 1975. It was a great day, memorable in more ways than one. And I have happy memories of some wonderful professors, friends, and the beautiful campus at Ramapo College in Mahwah New Jersey. The official Commencement Speaker, standing next to me, looking very handsome in his cap and gown (some people can just carry that look off without a hitch), is Senator William Proxmire.

Congratulations to all THIS year's graduates!  Like it or not,THIS year will be a graduation memory for them to share with their children and grandchildren! Although the traditional celebrations cannot take place, which is sad for so many, Q92 and Tompkins Mahopac Bank have found a way to fill in the gap just a little bit:

This year, Q92 and Tompkins Mahopac Bank are saluting the Class of 2020. It’s our way to create a special memory for our graduates…and it’s proudly brought to you iHeartMedia of the Hudson Valley. In addition to HAVING GRADUATES NAMES ANNOUNCED ON THE RADIO, at the end of June two lucky grads will be picked at random to receive a special gift from Zimmer Brothers Jewelers.
