MID-HUDSON – As the pandemic continues and only essential workers are urged to leave their homes, ridership on mass transit is way down.
Two ferry services across the Hudson River are being suspended until further notice because of low ridership.
Effective Monday, May 4, the Newburgh-Beacon and Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry services will stop, and substitute busing will be available for commuters.
For the convenience of essential riders’ alternate travel plans, free parking will be available at the following stations on the Hudson Line of Metro-North: Irvington, Tarrytown, and Beacon.
