A six-year-old girl in a town called Perkasie, Pennsylvania wanted to do her part to help healthcare workers and her act of kindness has started a huge fundraiser.
Sophia Myers decided to give to Grandview Hospital and sent her actual unicorn piggy bank and the $14.70 inside, along with a thank you note, to those working to keep us healthy.
“I know a lot of people aren’t giving money, so I was like, ‘Okay I can give some money and get this process started so this coronavirus can be done,’” the kindergartner says.
The hospital says Sophia’s giving turned into a huge campaign that has raised over $60-thousand in two weeks.
