It's always a pleasure to stay in touch with good friends, and we'll do just that on the Saturday show. Mary Kay Vrba (pictured above with Michelle and me) will join us on the phone. She has some great information to share about Dutchess County Tourism and the future; our friend, Emily Darrow from United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region will be telling us about some of the surprisingly many and wonderful ways they are supporting our community during this upheaval. And how about a VIRTUAL Business After Hours?--Frank Castella, Jr. from the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce will tell us all about that. We'll hear from Lou and his chickens (ducks, turkeys and geese) at Winwood Farm, Felicia Kirschner will present lunch ideas available for take-out from local eateries, and, of course, Saturday would not be complete without another edition of Michelle Taylor's World.
I don't know about you, but besides all this interesting, entertaining and useful information, I am just so heartened, once again, at seeing the endless supply of innovation, fortitude, optimism, generosity, compassion, selfless effort and enthusiasm demonstrated by the people in our community. There are so many of you good people out there! I come away renewed in hope and resolve to stay the course, arm in arm with all my fellow travelers through this tangle of mostly unpleasant circumstances. One cannot easily overlook the ever growing number of silver linings. I feel so gifted to be witness to it all and to all of you.
See you Saturday between 10 and 3.
