GOSHEN – Since March 24, Orange County, working with the state and private vendors, has distributed thousands of personal protective equipment items to healthcare officials and first responders.
Since March 24, the county has distributed 16,000 surgical gowns, over 31,300 N-95 masks, more than 110,500 surgical masks, 52,000 pairs of gloves, 760 gallons of hand sanitizer, 5,000 face shields and 3,500 goggles.
“We will not let out guard down and will continue our efforts to procure essential PPE for our medical providers,” said County Executive Steven Neuhaus.
The PPE continues to be distributed to first responders, medical facilities, hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, assisted living facilities and municipalities.
