Ulster County modifies Ellenville COVID-19 testing site

ELLENVILLE – One of the two COVID-19 drive-through testing sites that Ulster County set up recently has been modified.
The first site, at Tech City in the Town of Ulster, continues to have a substantial number of people coming in for testing.
The other site in Ellenville, not far from Ellenville Regional Hospital, was opened after the Tech City location. The drive-through component has been terminated with the testing brought inside the hospital with expanded hours, said Daniel Torres, County Executive Patrick Ryan’s chief of staff.
The closest other locations are in Dutchess County and on the Orange-Rockland County border.
The drive-through locations are designed to take specimen samples from people who pull up in their vehicles and then leave immediately thereafter.
