Lots of bosses are figuring out new management styles to adjust to the pandemic. I probably wouldn't recommend this one.
There's a 46-year-old guy in Yamagata, Japan, and he's a manager at a construction company.
Well, one of his employees, a guy in his 20s, went on a trip to another city recently, so the boss told him to stay home because of the coronavirus risk.
But the guy came to work anyway. And the boss responded by . . . PUNCHING him in the FACE.
The boss was arrested.
It’s probably not a good idea to imitate his high-impact disciplinary style.
If nothing else, since we’re not supposed to be touching our own faces during the coronavirus pandemic, putting your knuckles on someone else’s face, especially of you think they might be infected, probably isn’t very good for your health either.
