The struggle of trying to balance a full workday and a full school day from home is real. Parents are trying to do the best they can to make it work, but it’s not easy. So one mom came up with a way to try to minimize interruptions from her kids while she was having a virtual meeting for work and it’s giving us the laugh we needed.
This mom has clearly had it with her kids coming in to ask questions while she’s trying to work, so she made a sign and hung it on her home office door. The photo posted to Reddit is sarcastically captioned “The joys of working from home” and the sign notifies the kids that mom is in a meeting and not to enter from 9:30 to 11. It also says: “The answer to your question might be here” and lists these possible answers:
·“Upstairs”
·“In the wash”
·“I don’t know what’s for dinner”
·“NO”
·“In your bedroom” and
·“Piece of fruit”
While it probably didn’t keep her kids from “needing” her at least once during her meeting, it may have helped buy her some time. Other parents have offered up additions to the response chart including, “I don’t care who hit who first,” “write it on the shopping list” and “Is it broken, bleeding, or burning? If not, it can wait.”
