·Community Capital New York has come out with a new initiative to assist small businesses suffering from a drop in cash flow. They can provide up to $10,000 in an Emergency Express Loan as you wait for your SBA Disaster Loan Assistance. More information can be found HERE.
·If you still are questioning whether your business is essential on nonessential, please go to the FAQ section of the Essential Business Guidance at the bottom of the page (easy to miss) on the ESD websiteHERE. Perhaps the most important item in the FAQ is this: QUESTION: What if my business is not essential, but a person must pick up the mail or perform a similar routine function each day? ANSWER: A single person attending a non-essential closed business temporarily to perform a specific task is permitted so long as they will not be in contact with other people.
·President Trump announced in his press conference yesterday evening that he has instructed the Department of Justice to prosecute fraudulent schemes including price gouging and illegal hoarding.
·Governor Cuomo issued an Executive Order mandating that non-essential gatherings of individuals of any size for any reason (e.g. parties, celebrations or other social events) are canceled or postponed at this time. The order can be found HERE.
