A pizza shop way up in Amherst, New York – just north of Buffalo - has come up with a creative way to help rescue animals find forever homes. The Just Pizza & Wing Co. Is now attaching flyers with photos of adoptable dogs from the Niagara SPCA to all it’s pizza boxes.
Franchise owner Mary Alloy is an animal lover who volunteers with the SPCA and wanted to help more shelter pets find families and came up with the idea. Her customers are loving the promo and it’s already led to a six-month-old puppy, Larry, being adopted. And the best part? Anyone who adopts a dog on a pizza box flyer gets a $50 gift certificate to the pizza shop, along with their new pet. Now that’s a win-win!
