This week's group is special to me for one reason in particular and it's that like BTS, they're one of the few idol groups actually making their own music.
The one and only (G)I-DLE is a 6 girl group out of Cube Entertainment that debuted last year and is already making their mark on the KPOP world. They've been recognized for being a "self-producing" idol girl group and for breaking female idol stereotypes, with the members actively involved in the songwriting, composing, choreographing and other aspects of the group.
(G)I-DLE consists of 6 members:
- Miyeon(Main Vocalist)
- Minnie(Main Vocalist)
- Soojin (Main Dancer, Lead Rapper, Vocalist)
- Soyeon(Leader, Main Rapper, Lead Dancer, Vocalist, Center)
- Yuqi(Lead Vocalist, Lead Dancer, Face of the Group)
- Shuhua (Vocalist, Visual, Maknae)
