This explains everything to me as to why Mrs. Marino said “yes” all those years ago.
Are you an intelligent, perceptive woman – like she is - who tends to fall for guys who just aren’t – like me?
No one’s saying you need to date a PhD, but if you feel like you’re always ending up with dudes who you can’t have a decent conversation with or who haven’t read a book since high school, you may want to figure out why.
·You want to believe he’s a good guy - But just because you think he deserves a chance, doesn’t mean he actually does.
·You think you can change him - You’re a great problem-solver, so you figure you can fix whatever is wrong with him as well. Unfortunately, this plan rarely ever works.
·You don’t want to be seen as “fussy” - It’s okay to have high standards and be selective. Not settling for a guy who’s not your intellectual equal doesn’t make you fussy.
·You’re worried time’s running out - There’s no need to panic and feel like you have to ignore his faults just so you have someone in your life.
·You’re a target for toxic guys - If a man wants a woman who can rescue him, he’s probably looking for a strong, independent type, just like you.
·You’re busy - If you don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to dating, you may miss red flags when screening a potential partner.
·You thrive on a challenge - As much as you may love the thrill of overcoming an issue, a guy who’s challenging you may just end up being a waste of your time and energy.
