It's the staple of the Halloween season, Candy Corn! Invented in the 1880's by the Wunderlee Candy Company by employee George Renniger, who originally called it 'Chicken Feed'. Made by hand in the beginning, but now in mass production poured into shaped molds, the annual production in the United States was last reported to be 35 million pounds, which is almost 9 billion corns!
