A Dog Was Buried Under Hurricane Rubble for a Month & Survived

US-BAHAMAS-CANADA-WEATHER

Hurricane Dorian hit the Bahamas as a category five storm over a month ago. So it's amazing this is even possible . . .

A group called Big Dog Ranch Rescue has been searching for animals trapped under the rubble. And last Friday, they found a dog that somehow survived this whole time.

A drone with an infrared scanner spotted him. Then rescuers found him pinned under an air conditioner, surrounded by rubble, after he survived for a month on nothing but rain water.  (They found him in the Abaco Islands, just east of Grand Bahama.)

He was rail thin and weak, but alive. And he immediately ate a can of cat food they had for him.

They flew him to an animal hospital near West Palm Beach, and he's doing a lot better now. They decided to name him "Miracle," for obvious reasons.

He's the 138th dog they've saved in the Bahamas in the past month. And as soon as he's healthy, they'll put him up for adoption.
