KPOP START UP: Twice

This week is special for one reason in particular: I didn't actually like this group at first.

Twice, the group in question for this week's segment, is decidedly bubblegum pop. There's some dance/synth vibes in there as well but historically, pop wasn't really something I was usually drawn to. But this group is EVERYWHERE, and through constant exposure and patience as well as getting to know the girls through their music and variety show appearances I can now say that I am a Once (the Twice fan group name in case you didn't know).

Twice consists of 9 members:

• Nayeon (lead vocalist, lead dancer, center)
• Jeongyeon (lead vocalist)
• Momo (main dancer, vocalist, rapper)
• Sana (vocalist)
• Jihyo (leader, main vocalist)
• Mina (main dancer, vocalist)
• Dahyun (lead rapper, vocalist)
• Chaeyoung (main rapper, vocalist)
• Tzuyu (lead dancer, vocalist, visual, maknae)

The group was actually formed through the 2015 reality TV show SIXTEEN and originally consisted of 7 members, with Momo and Tzuyu added at the very end as a surprise twist.
