What started as a joke on Facebook has become a reality, but with less violence and more...food trucks?
The story broke earlier this summer about a joke Facebook event titled "Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All Of Us" with millions of people RSVPing to the event. There was some worry about people actually taking this seriously and attempting to storm a government facility but now it seems to have turned into some sort of food/music/alien themed festival.
"It was "about 75" people that gathered at the Area 51 gate, according to the Associated Press. At least two were detained by sheriff's deputies, it reported."
