School Bus Driver Holds Boys Hand To Comfort Him on His First Day

US-CRIME-SCHOOL SHOOTING

This story might have just as well happened here in the Hudson Valley as we love our Bus Drivers and Bus Monitors for the great care they take with our kids…

The beginning of a new school year can be hard for children and even scarier when they’re going to school for the first time ever on a school bus. That was the case for Axel, a four-year-old who was heading to his first day of pre-K at Augusta Elementary School in Wisconsin. His mom, Amy Johnson, wanted to snap a photo of him, but he was having first-day jitters and wasn’t happy.

But school bus driver Isabel Lane had his back and knew how to help Axel’s nerves. He was crying and his mom had to physically pick him up and put him on the bus, in the seat behind Lane’s. So she reached back and held his hand to comfort him, and that’s when his mom took a sweet photo capturing the act of kindness. We have a link to it.

Bus driver Isabel says it’s easy to help if you see someone struggling. She explains, “You don’t have to say anything but just to show someone you’re there makes a big difference.”
