It's always great to see Jack Fenton from Meals on Wheels of Greater Hyde Park. He brought with him Tara Saglimbeni from North Road Communications at Marist College. Jack and Tara explained the need for volunteers to deliver meals to homebound seniors in our community. This great program, as you know, not only provides a daily meal, but a friendly greeting and check-in for the people, some of whom are quite isolated, who appreciate this service so much. I know some volunteers personally, and they tell me how much they enjoy these little visits themselves--that it does as much for them as for those who receive the meals!
